Stroll – the beach stretches more than 1km in each direction, east and west. If you want solitude you will easily find it. Alternatively you will find plenty of fishermen eager to engage in friendly conversation (never mind the language barrier), and local children and families ready to join you for a game of Frisbee or kick a ball
Swim – there is a beach 100m to your left, just beyond Villa Putih. Because it is surrounded by reefs, it is very sheltered, and perfect for young children. Heading west, after 300m you will find 1km stretch of beach taking you past the Purijati diving ground to close to the next village Lokapaksa
Explore the Reefs – the seascape in front of Mayo Resort is a semicircle of coral reefs, total length about 500m, visible and walkable at low tide. The reefs are the home of all sorts of marine life including crabs, shellfish, starfish and sea cucumbers
Snorkel – The perimeter of the coral reefs offers great snorkeling, it is a riot of colour. We can lend you the gear if you have forgotten yours
Row – If you prefer to stay dry, you can borrow our rowing boat (capacity 2 persons). Take plenty of sun block and drinking water
See the Dolphins – this is an absolute must-do in north Bali. We will organise the boat for you, sometimes it is possible to pick you up from a nearby beach. If not then we will organize for your transport to Lovina. Be prepared for an early morning start, at 6.00am, you will be on the water for about 90 minutes, and back at the resort in time for breakfast.
Diving – we close to several great diving spots. The nearest is Purijati only 10 minutes stroll along the beach, and Lovina Reef is only 25 minutes away. Some of Asia’s best diving spots are within easy reach for a day trip. You can head east to Tulamben (2 hours), famous for the Liberty Shipwreck, or west to Pemuteran (45 mins), famous for the Coral Reef Project, Menjangan Island (60 mins) or the Secret Bay near Gilimanuk (75 mins). PADI courses are available nearby. Through our relationship with a nearby dive centre, we offer a wide range of excursions and diving packages for beginners and experienced divers alike, our guests are entitled to a discount.
Go Fishing – we will organize the boat and equipment rental. You will head for the deep sea, the further you go, the stronger your patience, the larger your catch. If you can catch anything good our kitchen staff will prepare it for supper
Sail and Waterski – At Club La Costa (8km) , you will be able to go water skiing, speed boating, Para sailing and children will enjoy the banana boat rides. As guests of Mayo Resort you will be entitled to a discount.
